    Sand Blasting

Sand Blasting is also known as abrasive blasting, is the process of smoothing, shaping and cleaning a hard surface by forcing solid particles across that surface at high speeds; the effect is similar to that of using sandpaper, but provides a more even finish with no problems at corners or crannies.

Sand Blasting equipment typically consists of a chamber in which sand and air are mixed. The mixture travels through a hand-held nozzle to direct the particles toward the surface or work piece. Nozzles come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and materials.

Sand Blasting techniques are used for cleaning boat hulls, as well as brick, stone, and concrete work. Sandblasting is used for cleaning industrial as well as commercial structures

    Powder Coating

Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. The coating is typically applied electrostatically and is then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a “skin”. The powder may be a thermoplastic or a thermoset polymer. It is usually used to create a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint. Powder coating is mainly used for coating of metals, such as household appliances, aluminium extrusions, drum hardware, and automobile and bicycle parts.

    Electrogalvanizing

Electro galvanising is a process in which a layer of zinc is bonded to steel in order to protect against corrosion. The process involves electroplating, running a current of electricity through a saline/zinc solution with a zinc anode and steel conductor.

Compared to hot dip galvanizing, electroplated zinc offers these significant advantages:

    • Lower thickness deposits to achieve comparable performance
    • Broader conversion coating availability for increased performance and colour options
    • Brighter, more aesthetically appealing, deposits

    Tin Plating

Tin plating — or “tinning” — is an extremely cost-effective process. Because tin is so readily available, it is much less expensive than pricier metals such as gold, platinum or palladium. Tin also offers excellent solderability, as well as superior protection against corrosion.

    Gold and Silver Plating

Gold and Silver Plating is a method of depositing a thin layer of Gold/Silver onto the surface of another metal, most often copper or silver (to make silver-gilt), by chemical or electrochemical plating. This method of coating is ideal for jewellery, electronics, decorative items etc.
